Run By The Gun 2017

We’re still here. And still hard at work.

After recording with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago in late 2015, Run By The Gun went on the road to support our latest self-titled EP in 2016. Thanks to those who came out to support Run By The Gun in NYC, Philly, and Austin, TX. We had a great time.

We are scheduling more live performances in 2017 and releasing our latest demos written by Zambia Greene. We’ll keep you posted as those dates become more solid.

We are also releasing RBG’s web comic in March. Please check out our website and social media for the latest installments.

As always, thank you for your continued support. Please smash up some likes at our Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.

Peace. 1Love.

Run By The Gun, Issue #3

rbg3_p1_cbf_lettering_DRAFT2Suggested for mature readers: Months following the birth of Peter and Ada’s baby, Jonah is hard at work trying to build a new band with Peter. Meanwhile, Jonah’s relationship with Sarah has grown sexually, but not much otherwise. Despite feeling compelled to be in one another’s company, the two struggle painfully to get an understanding of both each other, and the new, toxic beast that their dubious, mutual attraction has created. Tempers flare and nerve-endings fray, as old behaviors and new attitudes threaten to crack Jonah’s well-crafted veneer of quiet strength. Will… the lone wolf… survive?

The RBG story is the rebellion, the confusion, the hope, the falls, the questioning, the gambling, the sex, and the music, the music, the music…

The real-life flaws of these characters can often make for too bright a beacon to follow for too long. But it’s a brightness that we all can’t help noticing, and recognizing as a mirror to some of our own personal struggles in life. No filter, no apologies, life and our largely unaided navigation of our way through it can often be a big fuckin’ bitch – but what a big, beautiful bitch it can sometimes be. And, in the end, who’d have wanted to miss it!?

Run By The Gun, Issue #2

testimageheader10Facing a decision that will effect everyone he loves most, Peter Palermo must choose between doing the right thing, and following his life’s dream.

RBG Issue 2 has been a tremendous effort from all those involved. We tried to challenge ourselves, and push the story and artwork to unexpected places. It may not be perfect, but neither are our characters. We feel it’s a good read and the artwork top-notch.
